"Beau's" Story
Beau a VSMT patient of Dr. MillerBeau is a 13 year old Dalmatian who lives happily with his mom, in Twin Lakes. I first met Beau in 2003 when he was experiencing some bladder problems. These problems have resolved, but Beau is now experiencing arthritis and back/shoulder pain. Routine and sick pet physical examinations are conducted in your home. We believe that by evaluating your pet in his/her natural environment it is possible to obtain a more accurate diagnosis of existing or potential diseases.

The arthritis and back/shoulder pain have now become chronic but they don't keep Beau down. He still has a good quality of life. This is, in part, from his routine veterinary spinal manipulation therapy (VSMT), similar to chiropractic adjustments in people. The treatments only take a few minutes and the effects are almost immediate. Shortly after receiving the adjustment, he walks more confidently, with less of an arch to his back.

Arthritis and chronic pain are typical in geriatric dogs. But, this doesn't mean that they need to suffer or even be euthanized because of it. There are numerous treatment options available these days.

Beau is a great testament to this! Beau's mom is good about giving him the right nutrition, medication and supplements to maintain this good quality of life in his 'twilight' years. Plus, she makes sure that he gets the VSMT adjustments when he needs it. Beau is definitely a VSMT success story!!
